The Nehawka Village Board of Trustees has two vacancies to be filled. One vacancy has a one year term remaining and the Second vacancy has a three year term remaining. If you are interested in filling one of

Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

Summary:

This is a full-time position (40 hours a week) consisting of performing various maintenance and grounds keeping tasks in a timely and safe manner. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions:

Inspect equipment/buildings and perform necessary repairs.
Grounds keeping work (mowing, weed eating, landscape work, snow removal)
Maintain heating and cooling systems as required.
Change lightbulbs.
Maintain baseball fields.
Operate and repair various machines.
Perform basic plumbing installation and repairs.
Perform basic carpentry work.
Perform basic electrical work.
Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Maintain water and sewer plant and related infrastructure.
Perform basic street maintenance.
Painting
Perform basic equipment maintenance (oil changes, blade sharpening, basic vehicle servicing, and the like)
Keep various maintenance records.
Physical ability to walk and be outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
Obtain and maintain a water and sewer license.
Prior maintenance experience preferred.
Background check required.
